Legacy 2009, 2010, & 2011 Comparison

Comparison notes to previous vintages to explain development of the Legacy over time. However current tasting notes are still an accurate description.

Legacy 2009:

Brick red in colour, this wine has aged gracefully indeed. Over time sage and menthol aromas have advanced along with a representation of tobacco and tea leaf. The palate delivers similar characteristics as before but has developed more spicy notes of pepper & cinnamon with dark chocolate lending smokiness to the mid palate.  It ends with a soft silky butterscotch finish.

Legacy 2010:

A little more garnet in colour but the bouquet remains much the same.  A beautiful forest floor undernote has developed representing a savoury scent of cedar and wet leaves. First sip on the palate brings a new discovery of strawberry and a hint of anise. Still full yet smooooth tannins.

Legacy 2011:

New release tasting notes - Deep crimson red in colour. The Legacy bouquet delivers enticing aromas of roasted coffee beans, caramel, and cloves. Fresh vanilla and red currant greet the palate, while lush tannins of blackberry and bing cherry linger in-between. A soft yet structured mouthfeel is complimented with notes of plum and almond on the finish. This age-worthy red blend will only become more expressive with time.
